  • Environmental Air Quality (monitor air quality to ensure all employees are working in a safe and healthy environment)
  • Asbestos Management (coordinate asbestos management for the campus)
  • Environmental Health (food safety, drinking water sanitation, swimming pools, communicable diseases, etc,)
  • Facility Code Compliance (assure construction projects (renovations and new) meet Federal, State, and Local safety and health standards as well as educate faculty, staff, and students on fire prevention and awareness)
  • Hazardous Materials (coordinate and manage hazardous materials activities to include hazardous waste disposal, hazard communication, laboratory chemical hygiene, chemical recycling, underground storage tanks, and oil spill prevention)
  • Medical Monitoring (identify employees whose job tasks expose them to specific OSHA outlined substances and practices and ensure they receive appropriate physical exams)
  • Occupational Safety (records occupational injuries and illnesses, identifies health and safety hazards, and promotes acceptable ergonomic practices)
  • Safety Training (assess, identify, and coordinate safety training on a continuous basis with a large variety of topics)
