DOT and IATA Training
August 5 - 6, 2020
All WVU employees who are responsible for shipping hazardous materials by ground or by air are required to complete DOT/IATA Training. DOT Training is required for employees to meet the federal requirements of 49 CFR Part 172.704 for certification in hazardous materials handling and transportation. IATA Training is required for employees who ship hazardous materials by air to meet the International Air Transport Association requirements. Each individual WVU employee who ships hazardous materials is required an individual certification in DOT and/or IATA as it pertains to his or her duties.
Environmental Health and Safety offers these courses every two years to ensure employees maintain compliance with these regulations. Environmental Health and Safety will offer DOT and IATA Tr ai ning on Wedne sday, August 5 , 2020 and Thursday, August 6 , 2 020 from 8:30am - 4 :30pm with a break for lunch. In order to maintain the proper social distancing required by both WVU and the trainer, both classes will be held in the New Agricultural Sciences Building Room G06. Participants must sit a minimum of 10 feet apart and wear a mask during the entire course each day .

Registrations for these courses will close at the end of business on Friday, July 31, 2020. Please use the registration forms provided to reserve your seat. You must complete both forms if you wish to attend both courses. Each course is limited to 20 participants.
